Great news for customers who get their power from the Imperial Irrigation District (IID)! Thanks to the utility’s new A/C Trade-Up Program, you can qualify for rebates of up to $500 per ton for the proactive replacement of low-effi ciency air conditioning systems. (One ton is equal to 12,000 Btu’s.)

For example, if you installed a new fi ve-ton (60,000 Btu’s) cooling system, you would be eligible for a $2,500 rebate. When you add this rebate to other available rebates and credits, you could get a brand-new cooling system and save thousands of dollars in the bargain.
