Was able to flush condensation line Line was buried about a foot underground Added raiser and top cap System is now draining properly

Equipment was operating member stated that system had went off on water safety switch cleared compensation lines through each Jones valve and through outside termination. Verify the flow of condensation, capped riser, or monitor condensation, and for the members due to high humidity equipment is producing more condensation than normal.

Cooling maintenanceon one RHEEM and one GOODMAN condenser. Upon arrival, south gas furnace was back flooding condensate beneath the platform, with water all over the floor. Client opted to install two Jones valves and two float safety switches on his systems. Wired float safeties to common on transformer. Advise client to locate primary condensate termination. Suspect termination is buried beneath dirt and rock. Installed a compressor saver kit on Goodman condenser. Client paid for repairs via C. C. Washed outdoor units, replaced filter and cleared condensate. Checked capacitors, electric motors and refrigerant circuit diagnostics. Recommend replacing thermostat with more reliable Wi-Fi thermostats. Client opted to self install. Both systems are cooling the home at the time of maintenance.

Found unit #D3JG FAU had bad IFC/circuit board. Bypassed thermostat (Honeywell color weekly) and 24v at R, wire nut with Y and no voltage at Y. Wired up G and R and fan came in at board COF. Switched Y with G at board and getting 24v but not showing CL1. Jumper at board and cooling turns on. Ordering from Howard. They have it and are sending it out. Hyde’s will have it next week.

Arrived at customer’s home to determine whether flickering in light kit for fans is a safety issue. Inspected all three fans throughout home and determined that the bulbs in all fans were “not to be used with dimmers.” This resulted in a compatibility issue between the light bulbs and the dimmer controlling light kit which caused a strobing effect. Tested this theory by installing a “dimmable” bulb in one of the fans and testing fixture. Light kit dimmed properly and showed no strobe effect with the proper bulb installed. Due to my findings, flickering/strobing effect seen in all three fans can be resolved by installing dimmable led bulbs in all fan light kits and is NOT a safety issue.

Demand call upon arrival client stated living room system not properly working. Attic access located in pantry room. Outdoor unit located on the left side of the home. Thermostat is calling for cooling and verified 24v at mother board. Verified 24v from t stat wire going to condenser unit but contactor would not close. Could not determine issue called office to send a senior tech.

Replaced capacitors for bedroom equipment recently repaired. Tested capacitor and found existing completely failed.

I Performed Maintenance on both the Cooling Systems. Also replaced a 20x25 filter located in the split system unit located in the outside closet and 14x14 filter in ceiling. Both Cooling Systems are 2020 and 2022 models located on the roof and on the ground. I flushed both the condensate drains. Client requested adding a hard start kit to the package unit located on the roof since we added a compressor start kit and new capacitor to the split system unit on Monday. I advised client about replacing the dual run capacitor preventively due to it being over 5 years old and client agreed. Installed new dual run capacitor and hard start kit for Carrier Package Unit (S#49095) and tested the system. Verified Reme Halo’s are working properly. Both Cooling Systems checked out operational and within manufactures specifications at the time of today’s service. Scheduled next Maintenance visit online.
