Found 2000 r22 Lennox condenser with Coleman Downflow split system had a failed dual run capacitor (45/5). Replaced capacitor and tested system in cooling. Getting 20°+ temperature split. Checked amps. System is cooling properly now. System is well past the average life expectancy of systems of 10-15 years before major breakdowns. System uses r22 refrigerant which was phased out and no longer made starting 2020. If system develops a leak it will be very expensive to repair and would consider replacing the full system.

Performed a cooling maintenance on a straight cool condenser, located in the backyard. Washed outdoor unit and replaced filters. Checked thermostat and disconnect box. Perform refrigerant circuit diagnostic, electrical motor readings and checked capacitors. System is cooling the home and functioning according to manufacture specifications.

Upon arrival, client stated that system has struggled to stay cool in the hot days. Upon checking system found plastic condensation line had completely been torn apart. Client says you have had rat issues. I showed him pictures System had no drain line. Water was leaking into supply vent was able to use a temporary solution and now water is dripping to underneath the house estimate via email to have a permanent solution for drain line will need a two main crew refrigeration levels are within range found system compressor amps already over max specifications. Informed Client this is probably due to system constantly running day and night for multiple days. Client has a lot of stuff inside home. This generates a lot of heat as well as not enough insulation at home to help with the heat.
