Arrived to troubleshoot and diagnose a smoking and burning odor originating from the main panel after electrical service was restored and the backup generator was expected to shut down. Upon entering the garage, an overwhelming mechanical burning smell was present. The panel closet, generator, and transfer switch all exhibited similar odors. I inspected the main panel, breakers, and bus bars but did not identify any signs of burning or damage. I also examined the transfer switch and confirmed that there was no visible damage. Additionally, I opened the side panels of the generator and found a significant amount of rat droppings, along with an unusual odor. Further inspection revealed a rat carcass that appeared to be torn in half, as well as a red, blood-like substance around the motor vent. It is suspected that a rat may have entered the motor or fan blades and became trapped when the generator was activated. I strongly recommend having a certified generator technician inspect the

Gave customer a phone call regarding questions about exhaust fan install yesterday. Informed customer that in order for nightlite to work separately from light, then we would have to run a new switchleg for fixture. Customer decided against this as it would be too much work

Arrived to diagnose 4ft outdoor fixture that is non operational. Confirmed that we are getting power from the circuit. Will need to be replaced, I will order new fixture.

Arrived at customer’s location to look at a project to retrofit all light fixtures to led, install motion sensor switches in mechanical/office locations, and changing all thermostats out to wi fi controlled thermostats. Will return next week to walk through property and get a count on all fixtures to provide an accurate estimate for customer.

Arrived to diagnose chirping smoke detector. Upon arrival I assumed the smoke detector was attached to an alarm system but did inform the homeowner I would take a look at it. After removing the device from its base I confirmed that it was a battery operated smoke, heat and co2 detector. The instructions on the device identified that the batteries needed replacing. Homeowner said he would purchase batteries, as they are specific batteries, and would replace the device himself. I advised homeowner that if after replacing the device he continues to have issues we can replace it for him.

Arrived at customer’s home to replace existing bathroom exhaust fan with a new customer supplied exhaust fan. Removed existing old exhaust fan and replaced it with a new customer supplied exhaust fan. Cleaned up and tested fixture to verify proper operation and confirmed this with customer to complete scope of work for today.

Arrived to diagnose multiple outlets in master bedroom and TV outlet missing ground circuit. Opened all outlets and a three gang switch box and was able to identify an outlet behind the door and the switch box both had ground wires that were broken. Called homeowner with an estimate to repair issues and he accepted. Repairs were made and all outlets are correctly wired with ground now.

Arrived at customer’s home to give an estimate for replacing exhaust fan in bathroom. Customer will purchase new exhaust fan and we will return at a later date to install it. New exhaust fan is slightly larger than existing exhaust fan, so drywall cutting will be required to fit new fan in ceiling.

Gave customer a phone call regarding ring doorbell not getting proper voltage. Informed customs that we would have to go on site to determine what would need to be done to resolve issue. Customer stated that he would do more research and attempt to solve the issue himself.

Arrived at customer’s home to meet with stucco guy to coordinate proper patching on panel changes. Will loosen surge device from panel using locknut so he can patch behind device. When patching is complete, he will secure surge device back to panel using locknut.

Arrived to run new low voltage thermostat wire from condenser to fau location and from fau to new thermostat location. Ran wire up the wall across roof and down into fau closet. Partially buried low voltage wire from exterior wall to condenser unit. Relocated thermostat to side wall of fau closet.

Arrived at customer’s home to add an outlet in bathroom by toilet and to replace an existing fan in bedroom with a customer supplied ceiling fan. Installed an extension box on existing outlet in master bedroom and piped over to new outlet location desired by customer. Removed existing ceiling fan from box and replaced it with a new customer supplied ceiling fan. Restored power to fan and outlet and tested both to confirm proper operation of devices to complete scope of work for today.

Arrived to run new low voltage cable for new unit. Ran up the wall and into the attic to FAU location. Additionally provided a estimate to extend circuit for fountain pump.

Arrived to diagnose a GFCI outlet that tripped and would not reset. Upon testing the GFCI, I discovered a dropped neutral. I inspected multiple outlets but was unable to locate the source of the dropped neutral initially. While examining the dining area, I found a burnt outlet. I removed the outlet and tested the wiring, confirming that the burnt outlet was the cause of the issue. I replaced the damaged outlet and restored all other outlets to their original condition.
