Lennox XC25 system Upon arrival found thermostat displaying alert code 270 Went up to furnace, followed heating sequence of operation and with further investigation found gas valve was not releasing gas/ stuck valve Tap gas valve and then heating system came on/ reboot equipment, and tested one more time System is now heating properly. Spoke with client gave him the option of replacing gas valve, they have a maintenance coming up in December They will monitor furnace operations and decide if gas valve needs to be replaced. Recommended replacing gas valve and flame sensor

Upon arrival, furnace is very old and requires a pilot. Light pilot was not lit lift. The pilot and cycled heating system began heating system is heating properly at this time. client is aware of how old system is is not interested in replacement at this time.

Discussed our Howard abut issue with multiple compressors, if I need to send back current replacement compressor before getting 2nd compressor sent (first was with install, second was replaced 11/4/24). Spoke with JB about how to go about installing next compressor, stated that may charge with less refrigerant that factory charge ) due to first company air handler metering device, system my be overcharging compressor just with factory charge (5 lbs 12oz). Roy from Howard, sending compressor next week , hopefully Monday. Will get with homeowner to schedule repair and go over situation.
