Gave customer a phone call to discuss address light. Customer stated he’d rather buy the solar powered version of the address light hand have us simply hang it for him. Will send a revised estimate to reflect this work.

Arrived at customer’s home to diagnose lights flickering and fan remote non op in office. Found that fan remote and receiver were no longer paired. Shut power off for fan, paired remote, and restored power to fan to restore proper operation to fan remote. Also found that dimmer for lights in same room was going bad and was flickering consistently. Replaced dimmer to restore proper operation to light fixtures. Customer also mentioned another dimmer not operating properly as this dimmer was also going bad. Customer requested to replace dimmer for good measure. Replaced second dimmer and confirmed all work with customer to complete scope of work for today.

Arrived at customer’s home to retrofit fluorescent tube lights in kitchen to led. Removed and disconnected existing fluorescent tube lights and rewired fixture to accommodate led retrofits. Landed all connections and restored power to fixtures. Tested fixtures and confirmed color and brightness with customer to complete scope of work for today.

Gave customer a phone call to answer questions about estimate

Arrived at customer’s home to diagnose outlets tripping gfci when it rains. Found that when customer does not plug anything into gfci protected outlet, the circuit does not trip. But customer stated that when anything is plugged into that outlet when it rains, it trips. This tells me that the issue is not in the outlet/circuit, but rather in what the customer plugs in (string lights, pump, aerator). Informed customer of my findings, and also found that gfci outlet for pump was protected by another gfci outlet in garage. Will return at a later date to replace the box for a two gang and replace outlet for a non gfci outlet, and replace the cover with a two gang cover.

Arrived at customer’s home to replace 5 smoke detectors throughout home with new customer supplied smoke detectors. Removed all existing smoke detectors from their boxes, and replaced them with the customer supplied smoke detectors. Tested all units and confirmed with customer to complete scope of work for today.

Arrived at customer’s home to give a price for running a line for and installing an address light customer is going to purchase. Will set transformer in pvc pull box located in front yard and run thermostat wire underground from there to the post where customer desires address light. Will install address light for customer as well. Customer will contact us to get on the schedule when he has the address light in hand. 1 tech 1 helper 3 hrs.

Arrived at customer’s home to give an estimate for installing an ev charger in garage. Will utilize existing circuit that been abandoned for the dryer in garage, and pipe up and about a foot over and set a dedicated 30 amp outlet (14-30p outlet). 1 tech 2-3 hrs

Arrived at customer’s home to install a new whole home ultra surge protector on main breaker panel. Mounted surge protector directly to the bottom of the main breaker panel and ran romex through panel to breaker for surge. Landed all connections and tested unit and verified with customer to complete scope of work for today.

Arrived at customer’s home to give an estimate on installing two attic fans for customer. Upon further inspection of roof/attic and discovering that the customer desired exterior roof mounted exhaust fans cut in and installed, it was determined that it would be safer to have a roofer install exhaust fans so we can hook them up to power after. This is to prevent any possible leaks and to ensure a good seal on fan as we are not roofers. Customer informed me that if he can find a roofer to cut fans in , then we can come back to run power for them.

Arrived at customer’s home to diagnose outlets non op according to hvac tech. Found that a string of outlets in living room were non op. Found a tripped circuit breaker in main breaker panel. Reset breaker to restore power to circuit and resolve issue. Noticed a good amount of dirt and dust inside panel, as well as outdated breakers. Recommend a panel tune up with surge protection to prevent future failures.

Arrived at customer’s home to complete a complimentary electrical safety inspection. Found that panel was only 100 amps, couldn’t verify ground rod, one missing smoke detector in home, and no surge protection on main breaker panel. Informed customer of my findings and informed them that if they plan on any additions in the future, it would be prudent to upgrade main breaker panel ahead of time.

Arrived at customer’s home to diagnose dimmer non op since we replaced switch with smart switch. Found that dimmer was bad and not dimming as it should. Charged customer for replacing dimmer as it was not due to our work.

Arrived at customer’s home to diagnose sprinkler timer still malfunctioning. Found that gfci outlet for sprinkler timer tripped during rains last weekend. Found that cover for outlet that sprinkler timer was plugged into was not an in use weatherproof cover. Replaced cover to ensure water does not get into outlet in the future. Customer informed me that the original sprinkler timer was plugged into that outlet. As this wasn’t an issue before, there was no way for us to know this was an issue. Informed customer that there would just be a charge to replace cover, but they stated they didn’t think they had to pay anything.

Sent customer an estimate for putting new labels on main breaker panel we did a tune up on 4 years ago.

Arrived at customer’s home to diagnose outlets non op in master bedroom. Found a tripped arc fault breaker in sub panel in garage. Reset arc fault breaker to restore power to circuit and resolve issue. Tested all outlets/light fixtures in question and confirmed with customer to complete scope of work for today.

Arrived at customer’s home to cut in outlets, replace switches with dimmers, perform a diagnostic on exterior outlets, label sub panel, change sub panel breaker, and install customer supplied light fixtures in both walk in closets.

Arrived at customer’s home to give a price for running a new dedicated circuit for a stovetop that customer is purchasing, and for an ev charger circuit with a diagnostic for a fan in one of the bedrooms. Will use spare conduit into the attic and run romex from there through the attic and down the wall to stove location. On a separate trip we will set an outlet off the back of the main breaker panel and perform a diagnostic on a fan in the bedroom. 1 electrician 1 helper 1 day for stovetop. 1 electrician 3 hrs for the outlet and diagnostic

Gave customer a phone call to answer questions about timer switch install yesterday. Customer stated that he had trouble programming timer switch and that the pump for the fountain in front yard stopped working. Customer also stated that they hear a humming sound coming from the pump. To me this indicates that pump is getting power, but malfunctioning due to a bad pump/clog, etc. informed customer that if fountain contractor can not get pump working due to power, that we would take a look at it when we come out to retrofit lights in kitchen.

Arrived at customer’s home to replace two customer supplied switches and to fix an outlet falling out of the wall in the bathroom. Removed both existing switches from boxes and replaced them with a dimmer and a smart switch for the front lights. Tested operation of both switches, fixed outlet in bathroom, and confirmed proper operation with customer to complete scope of work for today.

Arrived at customer’s home to run two new thermostat wires for each platinum unit that is being installed today and tomorrow. Piped up exterior wall and penetrated into garage with customer’s approval. From inside the garage we piped up into the attic and ran wires to each indoor unit through the attic. Sealed all penetrations and confirmed with installers that thermostat wires we where they needed them to complete scope of work for today.

Gave customer a phone call regarding adding an address light to exterior of gate for yard. Will have to do a physical job walk to determine how to properly run wire.

Arrived at customer’s home to install a timer switch by the front door for exterior lighting. Upon arrival I found that timer was on a three way circuit and the switch on the other side of the three way was not operating properly and was not passing voltage through unit. Replaced switch to restore proper operation to three way circuit. Installed timer switch by front door and tested unit to verify with customer. Customer stated that he would take care of programming unit.

Arrived at customer’s home to diagnose switches making noise and working intermittently. Found that switches were bad and not making proper contact internally. Replaced both switches in three way circuit to resolve issue and restore proper function to circuit. Customer also expressed interest in retrofitting here bathroom strip fixtures to led at a later date.
