Estimate to replace existing Daikin garage ductless with a AS Mitsubishi ductless heat pump. Add surge protection to all 3 systems, install Honeywell WiFi thermostat to casita and reduce fan speed in casita air handler. HVAC technician: installed Honeywell S200, linking Wi-Fi and client cell phone to thermostat. Reduced casita CFM to 350. Installed surge protectors at garage POV, disconnect for mini split/Casita heat pump and main condenser. Installers to collect for service.

Error code on ECOBEE thermostat stated system had shut down on two consecutive days, stating there may be a problem with HVAC system, due to excessive temperature heat rise inside of the home. This is symptomatic of an outdoor unit that has powered down. Charged older system with 1 pound of refrigerant and double checked my previous electrical readings – capacitors, running compressor amp draw, starting compressor amp draw. Also measured a 30° temperature split (above coil/blower housing). I believe, theoretically, that the system has shut down due to compressor thermal overload.
