Performed an indoor safety maintenance on two American Standard furnace. The FAU is located in the laundry room upflow . Replaced 2 16x25 filter located in filter rack,Flushed the condensation line to ensure proper drainage. Checked the furnace sequence of operation to verify proper startup and heating operation. Tested electrical amperage and voltage to ensure readings were within the manufacturer’s specifications. Inspected blower motor operation and speed, checked electrical connections for looseness, and measured the temperature rise to verify proper heat output. Inspected the electrical compartment and cleared accumulated dust and debris, condensation terminals under ground. Verified the units were operating properly in heating mode, with all inspected components and readings within the manufacturer’s specifications at the time of maintenance. Gave out Starbucks card!

Upon arrival, HO stated that the bedroom unit was not turning on and the thermostat was off. Checked for 24V at the thermostat wire and found no voltage. Proceeded to the attic and discovered that the common wire on the transformer was loose. Tightened the existing connection, restoring power to the unit. Cycled the system in both cooling and heating modes to verify proper operation. Unit is now operating properly in both modes.
