Some of the advantages of recessed lighting include:
- The ability to cover a larger area.
- Even distribution of lights for consistent illumination across rooms.
- Customization with a number of available styles.
Recessed lighting is commonly used in kitchens, living rooms and closets. Although they are more discreet than a chandelier, not all recessed lights look the same. An eyeball trim, for example, aids with wall-wash lighting, but a reflector trim is better suited for mirrored surfaces.
Homeowners can expect to pay between $150 to $250 per recessed light for installation near Palm Desert.
Here are some signs that you need a new electrical panel:
- Frequent Circuit Breaker Tripping: If your circuit breakers trip frequently, it could be a sign that your electrical panel is overloaded and struggling to handle your electrical needs.
- Older Panel: If your electrical panel is more than 20 years old, it may not meet current safety and code requirements. Older panels might have outdated technology and can be a fire hazard.
- Flickering or Dimming Lights: If you notice your lights flickering or dimming when you use certain appliances or switch on multiple devices, it may be due to insufficient electrical capacity.
- Burning Smell or Scorch Marks: A burning smell or scorch marks around your panel are clear indications of electrical issues and should be addressed immediately to prevent fires.
- Multiple Extension Cords: If you're relying heavily on extension cords and power strips to accommodate your electrical needs, it's a sign that your panel may not have enough outlets or capacity.
If you don’t want to replace it, it’s a good idea to have an electrician perform a safety check to ensure everything is in working condition and up to code.
It is very important to hire the best professional for the job.
Here are a few easy actions to take:
- Get referrals. Check to see if any of your friends or coworkers recommend an excellent electrician based on their own experience.
- Check to see whether the electrician is insured. If the firm has employees, all electricians must be covered by workers’ compensation insurance.
- Look at the current reviews. How many do they have and what are people saying about them?

Customer also asked me to inspect wire through the attic to determine if plumbers caused damage to wires. However, I found that existing t stat wire we through wall, then underground to outdoor unit.
