Arrived for a complimentary electrical safety inspection. During inspection of breakers I found one non UL listed breaker in panel. Non-UL certified circuit breakers are unsafe because they lack rigorous safety testing, fail to trip during overloads, and use inferior materials. This can lead to severe electrical fires, severe shocks, and equipment destruction. Additionally I could not confirm gas bonding to the house. Gas lines need to be grounded—technically called bonding—to prevent electrical shock, stop dangerous arcing from lightning, and safely trip circuit breakers if a stray wire touches the pipe. Also found that exterior outlets were missing bubble covers. Recommend upgrading panel to 200 amps to properly create more space in panel for circuits and to bring panel up to current code requirements.

Arrived at customer’s home to rework switches in kitchen and master bedroom to reduce the amount of switches, replace exterior lights with customer supplied lights, and put landscape lighting on bbq circuit and put bbq light on countertop circuit. After finishing reworking switches in kitchen, I informed customer that we would have to return at a different date to rework other switches and complete scope of work for today.

Arrived at customer’s home to diagnose outlets non op after hvac maintenance. Found that outlet in kitchen that was the home run for circuit had a loose neutral connection. Re worked wire to make a solid connection between neutrals, and turned circuit back on to test. Tested all outlets and verified proper operation and voltage with customer to complete scope of work for today.

Arrived to remove and install a customer supplied exterior wall sconce next to the front door.

Arrived to remove two exhaust fan and install two Panasonic whisper quiet exhaust fans with lights. One was installed in the master bath and master water closet.

Arrived at customer’s home to review panel change estimate that was given to customer this last weekend during a demand call. Found that estimate was just missing grounding and surge protection. Found that panel does indeed need to be upgraded, and informed customer that it would only be a matter of time before more failures start to occur. Copied estimate that was given and added grounding and surge protection to ensure customer has the most accurate estimate possible for the future. Sent estimate to customer and they informed me that they’d have to wait to move forward with project.
