Completed a cooling maintenance on two split heat pumps. Cleared condensate drain line, replaced filters and washed outdoor units. Checked refrigerant circuit diagnostic, capacitors and all electrical motors. Both systems are functioning according to manufacture specifications.

Performed AC cooling maintenance on Day and Night split system. Replaced (3) ceiling filters. Cleared condensation drain and inspected ductwork for any leaks at return, found none. They have noticed issue or fine silt white style powder, almost like drywall debris, on their surfaces all around. Found filters saturated with the fine dust as well. Checked amps,volts, capacitors, refrigerant charge and temperature split. Cleaned condenser coil. Cleaned out condenser electrical compartment. System is cooling properly. They haven’t had any remodel work or drywall work done. Did not see any of it inside return ducting or supply ducting. They don’t have any standing air purifiers in area, only humidifier. Hyde’s installed am Air Oasis Bipolar on 4/4/23. I made sure it’s working and the little Brussels are clean. Informed homeowners I will follow up after doing some research and ask as few people who may have info.

Filters weren’t that dirty as pertains to issue they noticed. They had system off for a week while out of town. It got up to about 92° inside home. They ran system and it cooled down great per homeowners. Then eventually they noticed it blowing warm air. They shut if off snd ran the swamp cooler. I cleaned our electrical compartment for condenser, cleaned condenser coil. All wiring tight and secure and no damaged wiring. Checked start and run amps, start and run capacitors, refrigerant charge and temp split. (23°). System was cooling properly and within manufacture specifications. No motors were over heating or pulling over their rated amperage. Found system (York Diamond 80 furnace with 2021 American Standard coil & condenser)that serves back part of home had Honeywell 5000 thermostat set for cool but no airflow. Found 7.5uf blower motor capacitor swollen/failed. Some frost on suction line, opened up evaporator coil to see if coil was frozen, just a small layer of ice at bottom. Replaced capacitor and tested blower motor. Motor was still working. Let fan run while I replaced (2) 20x25 filters for him , courtesy as he signed up for Hyde’s Comfort Club. 23° temperature split.
