Cold desert winter...heat went out; three days later we had both heat and new air unit (ours was 30 years old). Whole experience was smooth and efficient. Technicians and staff were friendly and attentive. Big air unit...small installation footprint. We liked, in particular, notification of arrival time and punctuality. Staff were clearly proud of working for Hydes and pride showed in their attitude and work.

Performed a semi annual heating service on 2018 American standard split system. Furnace is located in an indoor closet. Changed 20 x 25 filter. Followed sequence of operation tested volts, amps and Heating safety switch. Cleaned out burner’s, electrical and furnace. Condensation line felt a little restricted so we installed a water safety switch to prevent water leaks. We also installed a Jones valve to get a better clear on the drain line. Equipment checked out operational at this visit. Renewed Annual agreement
I Performed Maintenance on the Heating System. Also cleaned a washable filter. The system is a 2008 model located in the inside closet. I then flushed the condensate drain. Everything else checked out operational at the time of service.

I performed a maintenance on (2) heating systems and I found that everything checked out ok. Then I cleaned out (2) filters and flushed out the condensation drain located on the ground
Found thermostat reboots after touching it sometimes. Replaced 1050 thermostat.
Performed heating service on 2 systems. Found both operational but both systems are not within manufacture specification. Equipment is oversized to ductsystem and even home. My suggestion is to replace both systems and size properly. Run a heat load calculation and determine what we need for the home. Relocate furnaces to attic to accomidate a return system. Both systems share return. Also materials stuffed in return creating high static. Systems are performing at extremly low efficiency.
Checked customers duct work in terrible shape wants a quote to replace its a total of 7 duct runs I checked the condensate pump cleaned washable filters cleaned the heater department check inducer and pressure switch
Performed annual heater maintenance on three upflow split systems. Two systems are located inside garage the other inside closet. Washed two washable filters and change 20 x 25 x 1 filter. Checked amps, volts temperature rise and all safety switches. Checked gas and static pressures also flush condensation lines and checked capacitors for blower motors. Installed new 15 µF capacitor. Found all other electrical and safety components to be within manufacture specifications. Also checked systems and in cooling for proper operation check refrigerant levels and electric Components. The two systems inside the garage are 1996 and due to age, condition and refrigerant type I highly recommend replacement. I also recommend installing Jones clean out valve and condensation water safety switches to prevent any water damage to the equipment and to the home due to condensation back up our overflow.
