Homeowner stated her Nest thermostat and system were operational and cooling and was at 74°/75°setpoint and inside temperature was 76° and I confirms with calibrated psychrometer measuring indoor temperature and humidity. It was matching nest indoor temperature of 76°. I checked around thermostat again to see if I missed any registers hidden nearby that could affect the thermostat readings, there wasn’t any like I determined last visit 9 days ago. Getting a 20° temperature split indicating proper cooling even with higher than normal humidity in the desert, normally around 5%-15% and was currently 39%. Previous call was about thermostat changing temperature setpoint to. 90° after her friend/neighbor was adjusting thermostat. I had checked all smart learning Nest thermostat features and most were normal/factory settings. Currently her issue, and she had no problem with it but was worried about if selling or renting out home that the buyers/renters would have issue with the time it says t

Upon arrival found nest thermostat with a blank screen. Check for 24 V at thermostat wire but 24 V was not present. While inspecting breaker box discovered 50 amp breaker was tripped. Reset breaker system is now operating properly.

Re wired air handlers to original breaker. Removed breaker knocked sand out of it connected the wires correctly to the air handlers. Turned on the circuit and tested the units to hold. Also looked at running t stat wire from air handlers to units. Home is reach style gable roof with access in master can get to other side to condensers will be long tight run. Also looked at panel and gave recommendation for replacement and sub panel installation to make panel safe. Currently completely full double wire on single breakers and really needs separation and re label.

Platinum system: upon arrival, 1050 screen was blank and blower motor was constantly running. Circuit board in POV was blank. Checked float safety switch and found that it was triggered. Proceeded to clear primary condensate which was backed up with water. Once line was cleared, system was restored to normal operation. Charged credit card on file.

Performed a cooling maintenance on four systems: Master bedroom located – left side of home, furnace inside of utility closet. Living room located – right side of backyard, furnace inside of utility closet (back of home). Kitchen located – right side of home, with gas furnace located on the right side of home in a utility closet. Guest bedroom located – in the front courtyard, with gas furnace installed in the garage. For all units – checked refrigerant circuit diagnostic, capacitors and electric motors. Washed units and replaced all filters located in the filter rack. Thermostats are NEST and disconnect boxes are functional. Every system is operating and cooling the home according to manufacture specifications.

Arrived at customer’s home to install a new dedicated 240v 20 amp circuit for a minisplit install today. Penetrated out of the bottom of the gutter box underneath panel in garage to junction box. From junction box we piped over on the interior of garage and penetrated through wall to disconnect location on exterior of home. Landed all connections and installers will test unit to verify proper operation on completion of install.
