Upon arrival, engaged contactor, and condenser fan motor would not spin freely. Installed new condenser fan motor and capacitor once I applied power unit would operate for a half second and then compressor wood trip breaker. Removed compressor from circuit and unit would operate indicating system has a grounded compressor. Spoke with client and emailed estimate for partial and complete replacement also for repairs. Client will only be charged for condenser fan motor if he goes with compressor replacement.

Today’s demand service consisted of one unit located on the side of the home. Arrived to address a cooling concern. Upon arrival, verified that the condensate line was clear and not contributing to the issue. During equipment operation, the outdoor condenser fan motor was running; however, the compressor was not operating. Further inspection found the dual run capacitor visibly swollen and failed, along with a heat-damaged electrical connection at the capacitor wiring. The damaged connection was repaired and the failed capacitor was replaced with the proper-rated component. Initial compressor inrush testing was reading OL, indicating the compressor was not properly starting. Installed a compressor saver kit to assist with compressor startup. Following installation, compressor startup was restored and inrush measured approximately 53.31 amps, well below the compressor nameplate LRA rating of 124 amps. Verified compressor and condenser fan operation after repairs. Running amperages were checked and found to be within manufacturer specifications. System was allowed

Arrived on location to scope out the work for moving a Jacuzzi circuit. When arrive noticed by the AC the receptacle there we turned it off and verified. Performed a cooling maintenance on a carrier condenser, condenser located on front side of home, filter located hallway ceiling, fau located in attic, changed 20x30 12x12 filter, flushed condensation line, on condenser check for amperage and voltage, check for compressor, check for capacitor, check for freon level, everything within range , clear out dust accumulated inside electrical component area and rinsed condenser coil. System is working within specification in cooling at the time of maintenance.

Today’s return consisted of the replacement of two 1040 thermostats, so that system can be properly calibrating the correct temperature in the bedroom and in the kitchen. I also ensure that the alerts popping up for the Accu clean sensor is now satisfied and no longer showing up on the system. All of these zoning thermostats are properly calling for cooling and turning the unit on after replacing the systems thermostats are idling correctly and properly cooling. After ensuring with my thermostat that everything is operating to the manufacture specs client to satisfied and system is operating to manufacture specs.

Performed annual maintenance on two 2008 Lennox split systems, approximately 4-ton and 5-ton capacity. * Replaced two 20x24 filters and two 14x14 filters. * Followed the sequence of operation and verified proper system operation. * Checked refrigerant levels. Client declined the replacement at this time. * Observed elevated inrush/startup amperage on both systems. * Checked the Both nest thermostats; thermostats were operating within range, calling for cooling, and systems were reaching the desired temperature
