Diagnostic on 2006 York equipment. Equipment found with blown high voltage electrical circuit. Found electrical short in attic. Repaired electrical short and replaced burnt parts. Equipment started up and is operational. Advised equipment in very poor condition well past life expectancy with multiple potential problems. Equipment uses r22 refrigerant which has been phased out and is no longer manufactured. Equipment now operating though is struggling to condition home do to poor condition. Equipment in attic has damaged drain pan which can lead to potential water damage. Contacted home owner over phone and advised on repair. Highly recommend equipment replacement to prevent continuous breakdowns. Advised repair credit from today’s repair will be applied to new equipment. System is working within specification in cooling at the time of maintenance.

Upon arrival, the homeowner stated that the blower motor would not shut off. I inspected the thermostat and found the fan was set to On. I changed the fan setting to Auto and monitored the system’s operation. The blower cycled off normally after the call for air circulation ended. Verified the system was operating correctly with no issues.

Our AC went down. I contacted Hyde AC. Thor came on time as scheduled. It only took a couple of minutes to determine our problem. In less than 30 minutes we had cool air flowing. Thor checked our pressures and measured the intake and output before leaving. He explained everything he did and why he did it. He was very thorough and professional.
