⚒️⚒️ Demand service No Cool Upon a rebel, Client informed me that system was taking a long time to reach desired temperature Thermostat was calling for cooling displaying indoor temperature at 82° Went to auto equipment for further investigation check all moving components and then found that system was 2 pounds low on refrigerant Spoke with Client , Client approved balancing refrigerant ✅ System is now operating properly and within limits

Repairs leak on evaporator coil. Pressure tested after and checked for any other spots or possible rubouts. Leak repaired and no other leaks detected. Pulled vacuum, under 500 microns. Performed vacuum decay test, passed, micron level stabilized around 500. Added back factory charge of 8lbs 6oz. Pressures to specs and 20° temperature split. System is cooling properly now.

Arrived at customer’s home to diagnose outlets non op in kitchen. Upon arrival I found that 4 outlets in kitchen did not have power. Found a tripped breaker in main breaker panel labeled “kitchen”. Reset breaker to restore power and resolve issue. Tested all outlets in question and confirmed with customer to complete scope of work for today.

Gave customer a call regarding iid results from visit yesterday. Iid tech said he read normal voltages on both legs of utility drop. Talked to iid tech and informed customer of his findings compared to mine. Customer stated that he was going to have someone come out to look at his ice maker to see if there are any issues with it. If customer cannot determine any issues with appliances, I informed him that we can come back out to do a deeper diagnostic on system.

Performed annual cooling maintenance on a 2021 Goodman 4ton unit. Replaced 20x30 filter located in hallway ceiling. Followed sequence of operations and checked voltage, condenser fan motor amps, compressor start/run amps, capacitor, hard start kit, temperature split, Freon levels, and rinsed condenser coils. Secured all electrical connections. Thermostat checked out operational. System is working properly in cooling at this time of service. Client renewed HFCP paid via CC. Client stated when compressor turns off, unit makes a loud clunking noise. Cycled power to unit and confirmed unit does make a noticeable “clunking” sound when turning off. Informed all electrical amperage’s for unit are in range. Informed can add a compressor blanket to help muffle the noise but it will not completely mute the clunk. Called Goodman for compressor blanket but was on hold for 20mins. Will send quote or additional information to client once more information is available from Goodman.

Maintenance for cooling on an American Standard platinum series upflow heat pump. FAU in garage 20/25 at FAU. Condensation line cleared filter changed. 1050 thermostat shows no active alerts. Checked system sequence of operation. Checked compressor amps, checked fan motor amps, check fuses and disconnect box, checked Freon and pressure. Washed outdoor unit down. FAU has Reme halo air purifier. System is working per manufactured specs. Home is cooling properly.

Arrived at customer’s home to diagnose appliances consistently burning out. Found that when I tested voltages at the main breaker panel, I got fluctuating high voltages on half of the breakers in the panel. When I tested the two legs of the utility feed coming into the panel, I also got too high of a voltage on each leg. Informed customer of this issue and recommended that they contact their utility company and inform them of the issues they’ve been having. Also recommended to customer that a whole home surge protector could help protect equipment from any spikes in voltage in the future. Sent customer an estimate for an ultra surge protector via email.

Maintenance for cooling on one Goodman 3.5 ton 2013 horizontal split system and one American standard gold series 5 ton horizontal heat pump. 20 x 30 filter located in hallway and three 20 x 20 filter filters one in master bedroom, one in guest room and the other in front of master bedroom hallway. Condensation line is cleared filters changed. Two ecobee thermostats working properly. Checked both system sequence of operation. Checked compressor amps, checked fan motor amps, checked capacitors, checked compressor saver kit, checked fuses and disconnect box, checked Freon and temperature split. Washed both outdoor units down. Upon maintenance Goodman outdoor unit capacitor tested bad compressor came on due to compressor saver kit. Notified client and recommend replaced dual run capacitor. Client agreed and signed estimate. Install installed new door, capacitor, and test system operation. Both systems are working at time of maintenance. Home is cooling properly.
