🛠️❄️ Demand Service – No Cool Upon arrival, client informed me that the system did not appear to be cooling properly. Performed diagnostic testing and found the temperature split readings to be somewhat acceptable; however, refrigerant pressures were unstable and fluctuating abnormally. Inspected attic components including zoning system, dampers, and ductwork for any restrictions or collapsed ducts. Also inspected evaporator coil area for signs of refrigerant leakage. All components checked out properly at this time. Further inspection at the condenser revealed the compressor drawing over 30 amps, while the compressor is rated for 21 RLA. Upon arrival package unit with model number AP0153709041CA goodmen package unit. Was short cycling was further investigation found system short cycling due to condenser fan motor not working was causing compressor to show really high pressure on high side as well as compressor amps going way past manufacturer specifications inform client will need to return tomorrow with right size condenser fan motor homeowner gave me the greenlight to go ahead and do repair. Need a 1/4 1075 condenser fan motor. Also informed homeowner that after repairs are made, we’ll see if there’s any other repairs needed.

Maintenance for heating on two American standard gold series POV split heat pumps. Two 20 x 30 filters. Condensation lines cleared filters changed. Two Honeywell thermostats working properly. Attic axis located in hallway. Check system sequence of operation. Checked all electrical and safety at FAU. Checked for stage two of heating, checked amperage, and temperature split. Performed PTU on a 2008 York 4-ton split system. FAU is located in the master closet attic access. Replaced 20x30 and 14x14 air filters and cleared the condensate drain line at the FAU. Performed a cooling maintenance on 2007 R22 York condenser, condenser located on left side of home, filter located in hallway ceiling, fau located in attic, changed filter, flushed condensation line, on condenser check for amperage and voltage, check for compressor, check for freon level, check for capacitors, everything within range also clear out dust accumulated inside electrical component area and rinsed condenser coil. System is working within specification in cooling at the time of maintenance.

Performed annual cooling maintenance on a 2025 American Standard Gold 5ton heat pump. Fau is located in hallway attic access. Cleared condensation line from jones valve. Replaced customer supplied filters. Serviced and rinsed washable filters for master bedroom and garage ductless units. Followed sequence of operations and checked voltage, RLA, FLA, temperature split, Freon levels, verified system is running is 2nd stage (30 on LED), and rinsed condenser coils. System is working to manufacture specifications. Client stated they turn the thermostat down to 74° in the night time but unit will run for hours and will never drop below 75°. Checked thermostat to see if it’s reading the correct temperature and found it off by 2 degrees. Corrected indoor temperature offset by -1°. Tested and cycled equipment.
