In California, AC repairs typically range from $400 to $1,500+. The cost of your air conditioner repair will depend on several factors, including the severity of the breakdown, the HVAC contractor’s standard rates, the cost of any needed replacement parts and whether the repairs are covered under warranty.

- Time of day
- Day of the week
- Holidays
If you hire an electrician to complete the job, you can expect to pay between $50 and $100 per hour. However, many electricians, like Hyde's, choose to charge by the job than by the hour.

Fernanda's troubleshooting skills found a newly collapsing return air duct on our 10 week old Platinum American Standard A/C system. It also had an alert for lost contact with a nonexistent sensor, causing it to reboot at least twice on its own. Fernanda's persistence and methodical approach unveiled a hidden problem others might have missed. We appreciate the quick response.
Palace fan motor under warranty. Cycled system. System is operating properly
Upon arrival systems thermostat was properly calling for cooling and system was operating in the attic all through the house. You can hear a loud rumbling vibration sound. As I entered the attic, I documented a video that is uploaded with the sound and system vibrating. After checking the amperage and ensuring that everything else is testing normal I also opened the blower panel to ensure nothing was obstructing inside of the blower or the coils itself I provided documentation. I also tested to see if changing the speed of the blower will improve the vibration or sound and unfortunately, it did not so I put the Settings back to manufacture and I did further inspection and I came across a collapsed, return duct, the outer part of the duck to looked intact, but after further inspecting the inner parts with the metal wirings of the duct has collapse, creating resistance on the return after fluffing out and moving the air duct to help the airflow system was able to ramp back down to normal
