Today’s annual cooling preventative maintenance consisted of one gold American standard system. I first begin with replacing all three filters in the home to ensure that proper airflow is able to circulate through the system at minimal resistance. The Honeywell thermostat is properly calling for cooling and turning the unit on with no errors. I then cleared the condensation line thoroughly to ensure that the system is draining officially at this time of service, the amps on the system are safely checking out in the correct range verifying there’s a controlled voltage being used throughout the system following with the capacitor also testing out safely, which is verifying that it is in the correct range it needs to be. And as I was checking the refrigerator levels, the system was in the negative numbers for the subcool and the suction line. Temperature was not as cold as it should be to ensure that the system can provide a proper 20° split I went ahead and informed the client that this

Performed annual cooling maintenance on a 2024 American Standard Platinum 5ton heat pump. Fau is located in hallway attic access. Cleared condensation line from jones valve and checked temperature split. Replaced 20x30 and 14x14 filters. Followed sequence of operations and checked voltage, amperage, Freon levels, found no error codes on CDA, and rinsed condenser coils. 1050 thermostat checked out operational. System is working properly in cooling at this time of service. Client opted to wait to schedule heating maintenance.

Upon arrival, turn system onto cool mode and system was working properly in cool mode for about 30 minutes before finding blower motor turning off and on very quickly. This could definitely be the reason why system is icing up as blower motor is turning off and on outdoor unit keeps cooling system is still under warranty and recommended replacing both blower motor and circuit board while system is still under warranty to help stop the cause of blower motor for turning off and on. Will get with management team before sending estimate will also call supply store and order parts at that time as well.

Made Plenums in shop.

Tested all zones cycling off and on properly. Found no issue with system or zoning. All dampers opening and closing properly. Put thermostats back to 82.

I then cleared the condensation line thoroughly via Jones valve to ensure that the line is cleared and thoroughly draining. The 1050 thermostat is properly calling for cooling and turning the unit on with no error codes or messages occurring on the system. Following with the unit successfully providing the proper 20° split between the liquid line and the suction line which ensures that the home is being cold to the desire temperature efficiently. The amps on the system are safe safely, checking on and range verifying there’s a controlled voltage being used throughout the unit and I concluded with thoroughly washing the coils down on the system to remove all dirt debris that may have accumulated on the system. Overall, this American standard platinum u
