Called customer to discuss issues with his new Tesla charger not working off his solar system. During discussion customer confirmed thru his solar provider that the Tesla charger is not compatible at this time with his solar system. Customer will need to call Tesla directly to try and resolve issues.

Casita Samsung 2016 Ductless indoor unit running and cooling but very loud squeaking noise indicating failed bearings for blower motor. Wheel is dirty in spots of white debris, may have caused motor strain but cannot confirm. When fan speed increases so does noise, and when stopped comes to abrupt stop like failed bearings. Informed homeowner of age of system (2016-April) so no warranty. Parts house that carries Samsung is closed right now but will reach out Monday morning for price and availability. Also mentioned what a new system would cost. Confirmed number to call on Monday ends 3565.

Upon Arrival, client advised that when they woke up this morning, the system was set for 75 degrees and reading 85 degrees. Upon further inspection I found that the compressor wasn’t running and only the fan motor was running. I tested the dual run capacitor and found that the compressor side of the run capacitor was no good. I advised client that capacitor needed to be replaced and client agreed. Installed new dual run capacitor, and cleaned condenser coils as a courtesy. System is cooling properly. Scheduled next maintenance visit online.

Checked system and all load were running, fan speed on max speed, new filter is clean, new coil is clean, and ducting is in good shape. Getting a 23° split. Found float switch almost full. We cleared it out a month ago, I noticed where jones valve is it would clear drain efficiently all past float switch and flat trap. Inspected float switch and had paper gunk blocking condensate from passing float switch properly. Also tons of paper looking material like wet toilet paper sucked out of termination point. With proper temperature split and charge, as well as proper airflow and nothing causing low airflow I determined floats switch would engage and shut off condenser intermittently, and any condensate backed up in pan would be reintroduced into airstream increasing indoor humidity. Made sure float switch wasn’t blocked anymore and system can drain properly.

After Diagnostic found faulty capacitor replaced capacitor under warranty installed compressor savor to extend life on compressor unit is up and cooling properly at this time

Upon arrival, client advised of water leak in the dining room area. I inspected condensation drain line and found water leaking out of small riser on back of unit. I flushed condensation drain from the outside and inside. I extended riser behind the unit and capped off riser in the front. Cut condensate drain behind the unit for flushing and made sure connections are glued. I also found that the Air Scrubber bulb and cell was no good. I replaced bulb and cell and Air Scrubber is working properly. Advised client about adding two Jones Valves on a future maintenance. System is draining properly at the time of the service.

After Diagnostic found condensation line was backed up on mini split in garage cleared line units draining properly at this time client is going to reschedule his maintenance

Installing 4 ton American Standard silver 14 horizontal heat pump system.

Upon arrival, found the equipment calling for cooling. The Nest thermostat indicated that cooling was active; however, no equipment was operating. Further diagnosis found the thermostat to be faulty. Verified proper low-voltage power at the thermostat wiring and confirmed the Nest was indicating a cooling demand but was not properly closing the R-to-Y circuit to energize the equipment. Bypassed the thermostat by jumping R to Y at the thermostat wiring. Once bypassed, the equipment cycled on and operated properly, confirming the thermostat as the source of the issue. Member had their own replacement thermostat available for installation. Also discussed the benefits of the annual Comfort Plan, and the member elected to sign up for the membership. Additionally, educated the member on proper operation and use of the ductless system serving the garage. System was verified operational upon completion.

Performed a cooling maintenance on a 2024 American Standard Platinum series condenser, condenser located on left side of home, filter located hallway ceiling, fau located in attic, changed filter, flushed condensation line, on condenser check for amperage and voltage, check for compressor, check for freon level, check if thermostat had no error codes or alerts, everything within range , clear out dust accumulated inside electrical component area and rinsed condenser coil. System is working within specification in cooling at the time of maintenance.
