Upon arrival garage Mitsubishi ductless unit had all loads operational and a. 21° split. Homeowner said Saturday it was just blowing warm air. I checked outdoor circuit board and had 5 Red LED1 flashes indicating fault ambient temperature thermistor, defrost thermistor, outdoor heat exchanger thermistor. I checked all resistances with power off, all checked out to specs. Checked them all visually and did not see any damage to any of the 3 thermistors. Checked dc voltages while running and all were good. Per Mitsubishi if all checks out then could be intermittent issue/outdoor pcb(circuit board). Will have to confirm with Mitsubishi tech support snd quote homeowner accordingly. Will follow up with homeowner and Mitsubishi tomorrow.

Upon arrival was getting error code for sensor missing again even after changing out batteries yesterday sensor keeps giving an error code that it is missing. Found sensor that keeps going in and out is for Casita replace Casita sensor. Make sure to add everything back together and test it no error code popped back up the whole entire time inform Client that if system continues not to cool down an error code keeps popping up. Will come back out with a senior technician to do a. More in depth diagnostic into system.

Upon arrival found living room unit 5934 calling for cool but only blower motor operating. With further inspection low-voltage wires were not getting 24 V as a pair. Grounded common wire and used 24 V wire for contactor. System is now operating properly.

Performed a cooling maintenance on a Lennox split system. Check electrical motors and dual run capacitor. According to refrigerant temperature/pressure and service history, system is dealing with multiple issues. Will come back with repair options after I compare history with research. System is currently cooling the home at the time of maintenance.

Upon arrival, client turned system 3W2F onto cool but condensing unit would not operate. With further inspection I discovered system had a faulty. Dual run capacitor. Installed new dual run capacitor and cycled system unit now operating and cooling properly. Also check capacitor on the other unit that capacitor is still within range.

Found. 2021 Amana split system high efficiency condenser off but with 240v and call for cooling from living room nest thermostat. Condenser circuit board had LED display for L6 (Open Start Circuit Lockout) found 35uF compressor capacitor reading 10.75uF, which is way too weak and out of design range that compressor would not start as it’s wired to start winding. Replaced capacitor and tested. After replacement I reapplied power and condenser LED showing C3 - Cool mode short cycle timer. After delay system came on and is cooling properly. Amps are good. Voltages are good. 20° temperature split. 2-year warranty on capacitor as a Hyde’s comfort club member. Homeowner wanted to make sure bedroom unit capacitor was good, courtesy checked and found 40uf capacitor was weak/out of 5% tolerance range and risk for failure. Replaced second capacitor as well. Both main home condensers have new compressor capacitors. Office to reach out and schedule first summer ac maintenance.

Performed a cooling maintenance on a Goodman condenser. The condenser is located at the backside of the home, with the air handler positioned in a hallway closet. The filter is located inside the air handler; two 16x20 filters were replaced. Flushed the condensate drain line to ensure proper drainage. At the condenser, checked amperage and voltage, verified proper compressor operation, tested the capacitor, and inspected refrigerant levels. All readings were within manufacturer specifications. Cleaned dust and debris from the electrical compartment and rinsed the condenser coil to improve efficiency. The system is operating within specifications in cooling mode at the time of maintenance.

Performed cooling maintenance on a 2020 American Standard Gold Series condenser. The condenser is located on the left side of the home, with the air filter located in the hallway ceiling and the furnace/air handler (FAU) located in the garage. Replaced (1) 20x20 filter and (1) 14x14 filter. Inspected thermostat for proper operation and verified no error codes were present. Flushed the condensate drain line to ensure proper drainage. At the condenser, checked electrical components including voltage and amperage readings, inspected the compressor, verified refrigerant levels, tested capacitors, and inspected the disconnect box. All components were found to be operating within manufacturer specifications. Cleaned out dust and debris from the electrical compartment and rinsed the condenser coil to improve system efficiency. The system is currently operating properly and within specifications for cooling at the time of maintenance.

Upon arrival, compressor had overheated. After cooling down compressor system turned on. Was able to check refrigeration levels and as shown in pictures, there is a restriction in the EV coil. System is not pumping correctly went into attic and documented pictures. Informed Client that will leave outdoor unit off until corrections were made. Otherwise could cause more damage to outdoor unit is left on.

One of my two thermostats was not working on Saturday night when I returned from out of town. It seemed to be locked from a few days earlier and I was worried that the AC itself was not working in that zone. I tried calling Hyde's but got an AI assistant who kept saying I'd get a call during normal working hours which began again on Monday. It was very frustrating and thinking that I had a serious problem considered calling around to get someone else to come out on an emergency basis. After nearly an hour of trying to reset the thermostat I ultimately was able to determine that the unit did seem to be working (I wasn't sure though) even though the thermostat wasn't. Fortunately I had not called someone else.
