Upon arrival found ecobee thermostat with a blink screen. With further inspection, I discovered system had a blown high voltage fuse. Installed new fuse and cycled system. Also checked amps and volts on compressor and condenser fan motor. Circuit board has several hotspot marks. I recommend replacing circuit board before complete failure. Emailed estimate for circuit board.

Upon arrival, found Honeywell thermostat blank re-inserted breaker and system had power. While test. Cool discovered system had a faulty condenser fan motor. Installed new fan motor and package unit located on roof. System is now operating properly.

Performed annual maintenance on a 3 ton 2024 platinum American standard heat pump. Changed filter 14x20 on bottom of wall next to air handler. Checked amperage, Freon levels, and if alerts were found . Wanted down condense coils and cleared line to drain properly. 1050 checked operational. System is properly cooling at this time of service .

Performed 5 ton 202 American standard package unit. Changed 24x24 filter in hallway . Checked amperage, temperature split , and motors. Capacitor still in range , temperate was at a 20 differential, and washed down condenser coils cleared condensation line. System is cooling properly at this time of service

Upon arrival, client turning system onto cool but only blower motor would operate. With further inspection I discovered system had a faulty. Dual run capacitor. Installed new 65/7.5 MFD capacitor. System is now operating and cooling properly. Also signed client on monthly comfort club.

HVAC repairs: Installed 30 amp disconnect box for bedroom package unit and vapor line insulation for both units. Need to reschedule to install condenser fan motor on bedroom unit. Motor stem was excessively rusty and was not able to remove fan blade. Need to return with fan blade puller tool to remove fan blade and install motor. Will get with front office to reschedule. 2020 American standard ECM blower motor failed. Ecobee thermostat calling for cool on arrival. 24v and 120v at motor leads. Tested with ECM tester and did not run. Ordered from Howard. Tuesday will be when it arrives at Hyde’s. I informed homeowner it’s usually around 11 or later but not in the morning. Gave option of putting in a Rescue motor that’s not under want warranty as well as recommended signing up on our maintenance plan for savings. Homeowner declined those options and going with warranty motor that is ordered.

Inspected garage with thermal camera. Went though temp comparisons with adjusted temp scale for easier differences seen. Can see spots above garage door where no insulation between studs. Went and felt and could feel the temperature difference or hear content compared to ceiling. Some warm spots around smoke detector and garage door opener indicating insulation but not around any electrical receptacles. If needed to cut drywall homeowner ok with it. Either some insulation or roof is preventing heat load into ceiling. Heat load mainly from garage door.

Performed cooling maintenance on a 2014 American Standard platinum 3 ton unit and a 2010 Carrier 3.5 ton unit. One condenser is located on the ground and the other is on the roof. Upflow FAUs located in garage and indoor closet by roof ladder access. Cleared condensation lines and replaced 2) 20x25 filters located in faus. Followed sequence of operations and checked voltage, amperage, capacitors, temperature splits, Freon levels, and rinsed condenser coils. Both thermostats checked out operational. Both systems are cooling properly at this time of service.

Diagnosed breaker for laundry needed to be replaced. Once it was removed I noticed the evc and two additional breakers needed to be replaced do to overheating of evc breaker. Replace a total of four breakers.

I Performed Maintenance on the Cooling System. Also replaced a 24x24 filter. The system is a 2015 Package Unit located on the roof. Checked UV Light and it is working properly. Also found oil residue around condenser fan motor, advised client about replacing condenser fan motor preventively to avoid future breakdown. Client to advise. The system checked out operational at the time of the service.

He was very nice but a bit too much of trying to sell me more than I needed during a traumatic time. I was also surprised that he replaced my component with one that was double the size...and I'm sure it was double the price. Why didn't he replace it with one of the original size. Because he wanted to sell more..not happy about that but was more concerned about having cool air. Do tell me why he put a larger component in for twice the price.
