Arrived at customer’s home to install ultra surge protector on main breaker panel. Found that required breaker for surge protector install would need to be special ordered. Informed customer of this issue, and they requested to have surge protector installed at the same time we install the dedicated circuit for the minisplit. Also gave customer a price for running a dedicated circuit for minisplit install and installing bubble covers on all exterior outlets.

Today’s annual maintenance consisted of two American standard of flow systems located in the garage. My first began with replacing both of the filters on the unit to ensure proper airflow is circulating back to the systems at minimum restrictions and then ensure that both of the nest thermostats are properly calling for heat and turning the units on both of the amps on the motors, checked out in good range ensuring that there’s a controlled voltage being used throughout the units and the capacitor is also safe safely checking out in the correct voltage range. All of the heating sequence of operation successfully checked out on each unit, providing the correct temperature throughout the air duct. I then cleared the condensation line for each system and noticed a lot of water passed and drained out of the unit so I then vacuumed out the exit point of the condensation line and successfully got more water to dispose and drain efficiently out of the condensation line. Performed heating maintenance on a 1998 Carrier upflow gas furnace located in the garage. Replaced 24x24 air filter in the furnace. Verified proper sequence of operations and inspected all safety switches, flame ignition, gas valve operation, and blower motor speeds. I Tested dual run capacitor (rated 7.5/2.5 µF); readings measured 7.5 µF and 2.6 µF, within acceptable range. Cleared condensate drain line to ensure proper drainage. Removed all existing outlets that needed gfci protection and installed gfci outlets in their places. Completed gas bond at water heater and installed surge protection on interior wall in garage. Performed panel tune up on main breaker panel and re labeled panel to complete scope of work. Gave paperwork for surge to customer before departure.

Both system cycled checked heat pump for pressure and Freon checked compressor amps and fan motor system is working properly checked gas furnace inducer motor 24 V on the gas valve and amperage draw system is working per manufacturer specification cleared out condensation lines and changed filters. Examined evaporator coil for dirt and debris. No carbon monoxide detected in the home. Dual run capacitor – good. High starting amperage on compressor motor. Added two compressor saver kits to lower the starting amperage and bring readings down to proper specifications. After repairs, system is functioning according to manufacturer specifications.
