Thor came in the evening to fix a problem with our air conditioning units left from a previous service that day that left half of our system not operating. He quickly fixed the problem and then thoroughly checked the entire system to ensure it was all fully operational.

Today’s annual cooling preventative maintenance consisted of one unit located in the backyard. I first began with ensuring that both of the 16 x 20 filters have been replaced and there is proper airflow able to circulate back to the system at minimal resistance. I then verified that the thermostat is properly calling for cooling and turning the unit on with no errors occurring. All of the cooling sequence of operations are successfully checking out verifying there is a proper 20° split between the liquid line on the suction line which ensures that the home is cooling efficiently to the desire temperature. The amp brush is testing out safely in the correct range verifying that the blower is testing out safely. Following with the capacitor also testing all safely in the correct rated range. I then insured that the coils are thoroughly washed down of all debris to ensure that it is properly receiving good airflow throughout the coils. I asked him to try connect my Schlage lock with my American Standard thermostat since Schlage says that they should connect and I haven’t been able to. He spent about 30 minutes or so attempting to connect them and although he was not successful, he was extremely dedicated. I really appreciated it. I’ll have to work directly with Schlage to solve the problem, but the service was great from Hyde. Ruben was also really willing to put on shoe covers because my housekeeper was cleaning my house. I appreciated this too.
