Electrical components found both breaker box broken had to turn power off from main breaker box called up homeowner and inform homeowner the great importance of replacing both breaker boxes to prevent breakdown and could lead to a bigger problem in the future. Also found for Lennox system run capacitor rated for 80 was getting 60 when informing homeowner about parts needing to be replaced client will hold off on any recommendations at this time. Cycled equipment in both cooling and heating modes and verified proper sequence of operation. Inspected electrical components and verified operating readings were within manufacturer specifications. Checked voltage and amperage readings for proper operation. Cleared the condensation drain line and verified proper drainage. Inspected ductwork and verified it was properly secured and attached to the equipment and in good condition. Alex is a nice guy- but all the technicians (including the one that came 2 nights ago) are fast talkers. They are salesmen- the first guy filled my unit with fluid, sold me a warranty (tooka a for $515). Now 2 days later, Alex says we need more fluid. Clearly they must be a leak. Very fast, he nixed the idea of looking for a leak/repairing an old system and launches into what the latest promotions are for a new unit. I had to make him stop, slow down, explain. Then he’s pushing promotional items i don’t need and cannot use (new water heater, mini-split). Finally, i got him just to give an estimate on an equivalent replacement - not the upgrade model. (A potential savings of $3k+) I also had to specifically ASK about financing options- he didn’t volunteer that upfront. I would recommend either better sales training of your service people or let the service people do the service and have a sales expert call and explain options. It’s all just overwhelming when I’m already overheated from a broken AC that i thought was fixed when you came 2 days ago!

Thank you for your feedback. We’re glad to hear Alex was helpful, and we’re sorry the visit felt overwhelming. We do want to clarify that the $515 charge was not for a warranty. It was for an annual preventative maintenance contract, which also provided a 15% discount on the current invoice. Our invoice clearly states in bold that refrigerant is not covered by a warranty. If an AC system needs additional refrigerant, it indicates there is a leak or another issue causing refrigerant loss. We appreciate your feedback and apologize that this was not communicated more clearly.
