Homeowner stated his American Standard 1050 thermostats are working at the thermostat but his app isn’t allowing him to change temperature. He stated it’s not both units at same time. One will work then the other will say offline, but when he checks thermostat at home it’s working. He reported WiFi and no fix, I recommended restarting app, completely exiting app and starting it again, or deleting app and redownloading it. Or WiFi could still have issues even after reboot. Attached is their tech support number for app issues. As long as the thermostats are physically connected irking snd able to change temperature it is an app tech issue. Advised on repair vs replacement. Sent over estimates. Found casita system two ton and is cooling but slightly low on refrigerant. System only getting 75 degrees coming out. Added one pound of refrigerant. System not cooling properly getting 50 degrees coming out. Signed up on yearly agreement. Advised will monitor refrigerant in casita.

Found Maytag split system with all loads running, using r410a. Checked pressures with gauges. Found high subcool and superheat, suction line was 91.4°. Found garage evaporator coil txv bulb and warmed up against liquid line and for superheat to drop and subcool to drop, suction line got to 78°. Supply temp went from 80° to 69°. Maurice was here for fall service yesterday. Today I experienced a huge “bang”, coming from my bedroom area, which is where the opening to the attic is situated. When I walked into thst area, I noticed the hatch to where a filter is placed was open. I was unsure if that caused the noise, so I requested a check. Maurice came at stated time, closed the hatch, checked the attic area, found everything to be ok. Apparently the hatch was not locked in all the way.
